I hadn’t checked the gap on my Barley Crusher for a bit and figured it was good. Then I got horrible mash efficiency on an IPA today. Turns out one end is loose and I had a bunch of barely crushed grain in the mash. Live and learn, even after 8 years of doing this 
It’s a pity I was trying to be efficient and crushed the grains for two more batches today. I’m planning to run those through again after I adjust it.
