??? for those using a keggle for a BK.
My setup is a ball valve set at the normal spot for a keggle. Im using an immersion chiller w/no whirlpool.
Where would be the optimum placement for my diptube? if I put it deadcenter wont I pull all the hot/coldbreak into my fermentor?
Should I even worry about that and just try to get as much into the fermentor as possible?
Do both. your fittings should unscrew easily and then put the whirlpool setup (the 90 angle fitting and then a 45 tube), or use the straight fitting and a 90 tube for drawing from the center.
Most people don’t worry about the break and hops. If you are really concerned with the break you can always transfer a couple of hours after you fill your fermenter. The break material usually separates quite well in that amount of time, but be prepared to lose some volume!
