First cook questions-trub

Cooked my first beer today, Amber Ale. After the cool down, I had a good amount of trub floating in the beer. Is that normal? When I poured the beer into the fermenter, a good bit of trub went with it. Is that ok?

It will be just fine and settle to the bottom after fermentation. Some say it helps the process actually

A little Trub is beneficial for yeast health. Give your wort time and you’ll be rewarded with a great beer.
