I didn’t look at them side by side just pulled the old and installed the new. Used it today. HUGE difference. Picked up prime right away!

[/quote]More than likely, the 815 tooling was made from the 809 tooling and it looks like they didn’t do the best job matching up the vane extensions.

I agree, that make more sense looking at it 
Installed my 815 upgrade and no more losing it’s prime. Great improvement thanks guys. Pumped great through the entire brew day then today I knocked something into my brew sculpture and broke off the bottom fitting. :evil: Luckily I have a second 809 to move the new impeller to until I can get a new housing and another 815 impeller to go with it.
