I’m about to start up some yeast, and realized I’m down to the dregs of my DME. Can I use priming sugar that I had sitting around? Any recommendations on how much? Not a huge starter, Wyeast 1056, a 1L.
Thanks!

I would not do this. It’ll get your yeast prepared to eat more simple sugar but theyll have been sprinting to train for a marathon if that makes sense
Never mind - Mr. Malty says ixnay on the sugar. Yeast get lazy. And I can’t have lazy yeast. Should have checked there first.
Thanks Adam - that’s exactly what I read. I appreciate the note back.
