To all those like me who now only check in here like once a month to see if anything is going on… BESIDES FACEBOOK, where are you hanging out online these days?
I myself am everywhere, always have been (even on evil FB!). Here’s my list of everything:
There’s a lot of great forums out there that, believe it or not, are still pretty active. Many have gone by the wayside but many survive. The foreign forums in UK, Norway, and Germany especially are excellent. They get deeper into many topics that Americans seem to not care as much about, which makes for a great learning experience.
Just thought I’d mention it, for anyone interested.
First, Dave, let me be the first to say that we’re happy you are here as you have a LOT of knowledge. Second, I’m only here. I try to keep a small digital footprint and don’t have any personal social media. Sadly, many of these forums are dying. I was a member of brewsandviews and that was hands down the most knowledgeable forum. Many very scientific people on there, but it too died, a long time ago. Hopefully, these forums are archived as there is soooo much info that will be lost if not.
I try to check in almost every day to see if anyone is around and posting. It seems like the homebrewing hobby has slowed down some. I’m not brewing as much as I used to, mostly because I am slowing down a little. I try to keep in touch so don’t give up on NB.
I just transferred two hazies to keg with dry hop last night. I had bought the ingredients to brew in June/July and life got in the way. Still checking in here every day.
It’s nice to see everyone’s familiar names! I just hopped on here to see what’s new. I started this hobby when I was a new father and 10 years younger. It seemed like I had a lot more time to brew back then… now my kids are very active and I need to plan a brew day about a month out
Went south for the winter as usual so no brewing for a while. Did have an Islamorada Channel Marker IPA or two with lunch yesterday. Not bad stuff to go with Tuna Poke.
I try to check in often. I just got back from 2 weeks in Punta Cana so I was predisposed . I still brew quite often. And @iahomebrew glad to see you back. Noise around here is pretty low, which is sad. Still a lot of bad info floats around out there so people need to be careful what info they receive.
