Hi folks,im new to homebrewing and had a concern about my first brew which is underway at the moment.I started a vodka kit 8 days ago an was a bit miffed as too why its still fermenting when instructions reckon only 5 days for this.
Ihave followed the instructions to the letter, added 8kgs of sugar for 20% in 5 days and have it in a small room with a heater to maintain temp at 30-32 degrees the thinking being at that temp it would bring it on faster.
Am i doing anything wrong,am i being too impatient??? any thoughts would be appreciated

After posting this and receiving no replies i am now thinking i joined the wrong forum lol.
Just in case anyone is interested for reference purposes my brew is now complete
When i started it i followed the instructions which tell me the brew would take 5 days fermenting and 2 days to clear after adding turbo yeast.
In reality it actually took 16 days fermenting and 6 days to clear.I now have it bottled and have added different flavours and essences,a bit longer than i was expecting but definately worth waiting for so next time ill try a different kit maybe
Yeah I dont know anyone the makes their own Vodka. Wine and beer on the other hand we can help with.
If I found the right thing, a “vodka kit” is similar to a wine kit. It contains sugar, strong yeast, nutrient, and finings. It’ll make half strength vodka (20%). You can flavor with extracts it to make different liquors. “There are endless possibilities” - according to the instructions.
Sounds nasty.
