Have read that this is closer to Fuggles than German Tettanger and that US Saaz is pretty close just more “flowery”. Anybody?
I agree with both of those assessments.
Sterling is also a good sub for saaz.
Going to use US Tettanger and US Saaz to bitter a Saison with the US Saaz for aroma. Using the WLP670 American Farmhouse Ale which has a little Bret in it. Trying to maximize the funky-earthy factor.
