The liquid starter pouch didn't break open when smacked

I used a liquid yeast for the first time. Followed the instructions and got the liquid pouch in the corner of the bag and gave, what I thought, was a couple of good whacks with the palm of my hand. Long story short, when it came to pitching the yeast I opened the “puffed out” bag and saw that the liquid starter pouch never broke open. I cut it open and pitched the whole thing into my batch. I’m hoping it will still ferment, or is that wishful thinking? I hate the thought that I may have ruined a whole batch of beer!

The inner pouch not being ruptured won’t cause a problem with your beer. It is just a nutrient boost for the yeast while in the package.

Thank you!
