Sweetening meed

Is it ok to add some honey just before bottling meed to sweeten it a little.
If so do I just spoon it in and stir it .
Is this the best way to sweeten meed or is there a better way?

I’m just starting out myself but I’ve recently read something on this. It seems it is ok to sweeten before bottling and the common method for that is to use a cup of your mead and sweeten that to your taste and then calculate how much honey you used for your total batch volume. However it is suggested that you let it sit for a while after sweetening just to be sure that fermentation does not restart. I’m far from an expert but I hope that helps.

Its fine to use honey to backsweeten. But, it can take some time to clear so be patient.
