Six Months in Secondary

I brewed a lager in Dec. and it sat in secondary in cool temps. 35- 40f until this April when I put it in my basement. 63-68f. I have not been brewing lately and I got lazy. I want to bottle it now. Do you think it is still OK ?

Thanks for your input, Ron

Just add some fresh yeast at bottling time.

Thanks for the quick reply ShadeTree. You don’t think there will be enough left-over yeast still ? or, if there was, it might be dead ? Yaa, you may have a point there. Same lager yeast or any neutral yeast like 1056 ?

Thanks, Ron

It’s been lagering for 6 months? Should be fantastic!!! Enjoy!

Well, it has been at warmer temps. for the past 3 months. 65-70

I hope it is still good !

Eh, it’ll be fine. Would rather have it sitting at 35F for 6 months, but it’ll still be good.

Thanks guys, to the bottle she goes !

Looking forward to getting back to brewing more !

Hi, I sprinkled in a 1/4 pack of Munton’s. I now have 48 bottles of Dortmunder Export Lager that hopefully will carb up O.K.

Thanks again all !

Hope you put in a little sugar too!

LOL, Yes, I put in about 4ozs. of corn sugar.
