Sack of grain - how old is too old?

I purchased a sack of Rahr Pilsner (I believe sometime in the first quarter of 2013), and I had it in a tote – not air-tight, but it had the lid on most all of the time. Do you think it’s still good?

I’d purchased 7lb of the same malt last weekend, and I taste-tested the two, side-by-side, and although the older malt wasn’t quite as crunchy, they tasted exactly the same…

Thanks!

Yes, it is probably fine. Most grain is good for a year or so and after that it depends upon storage conditions.
