I have a slow leak at the stem coming into the regulator. It’s the piece that you connect to the tank. The leak is not at the the tank connection but where it screws into the regulator. I could not loosen the piece. Is this piece a regular thread or a reverse thread? Any suggestions on how to seal it considering I cannot unscrew it and tape it? Thanks
Which regulator do you have? My understanding is that these are threaded connections so you should be able to remove, tape it and then retighten it. You could dbl check with the manufacturer to ensure the direction of the threading.
Most I have seen should be threaded in. If you can’t remove, it could be because its crosstheaded. If you can send it back as a defect, I would rather than deal with messed up threads…potentially.
