Prior to adding honey. To boiling water i first add dap and urea and acid blend. When next I added calcium chloride I noticed a chemical reaction. Fizzing and extra steaming off. Not to mention the nutrient off course smells of ammonia being di-AMONIUM-phosphate . I have noticed this before while still producing a good product. So is there anything wrong with this process?
Other question, I made a big batch and don’t want to tie up my big stainless fermenter. So will it hurt to transfer actively fermenting must to smaller carboys early in the primary fermentation?
Thank, y’all.
