Priming bavarian hefe

The Northern Brewer priming calculator shows Bavarian hefe as 3.6 volumes of co2. If my beer is at 60 degrees when bottling and I bottle say 4.5 gallons of beer it show well over 5 oz of priming sugar. Should I use the full amount when bottling my hefe. I know the style should be pretty carbed.

You are correct that the “Hefe” should be well carbed, check out Brewer’s Friend has calculators for stuff, carb prime is one of them. Once primed, warm the beer up to 70 deg. for best priming results for 2 wks. My guess is it will be less for 4.5 instead of 5 gal.
