The product details states it has 1/2" NPT threaded male hookups. I tried a 1/2 NPLT female hookup and it is too small. Is there an adapter needed to make it work?

Welcome to the forum! I’m not familiar with NPLT and a google search didn’t return any results. Can you give us more info or share links?
If you have a local home brew store, just take what you have there so they can look at it. Most of them are happy to help. The closest to my northern home would just say “hang on a second” then come back with what I needed.

Sorry I meant NPT. I think I finally figured it out. The sticker on the plate chiller is upside down I think. I was racking my brain trying to figure out what I’m missing and watching this youtube finally clicked at :25 seconds:
