I haven’t had the chance to visit this place yet, but it’s very high on my list for a visit in the next couple of weeks. The most interesting thing will be to see if the house-brewed Paulaner beers manage to capture the true Munich beer character.
In 25 years of visiting brewpubs nationwide, the ONLY one that managed to capture a truly authentic German character in their beers was the late (and lamented) Zip City (on 18th St in NYC), which despite excellent beer and very good food managed to stay open for only about 6 years (maybe it was ahead of it’s time??)
