Anyone have any luck brewing styles other than Scottish ales with a Scottish ale yeast? I have a small budget to brew with this week and i’ll need to use some washed scottish yeast I have around. The last two batches i’ve done have been 90 shillings and I want something different now.
I did an amber with Wyeast 1728. It was very tasty. According to my notes I fermented in the mid 60s. It was a very clean brew. The citrus from the cascade came through very well.
