Old rice OK for use in sake?

Going through my storage items from a different lifetime ago, I found a couple bags of polished rice from Steinbarts, likely from 2009.

I know it is common to use “old crop” rice form the prior year, but this is older crop :lol:

The polishing probably makes the rice store better than normal, but I’m wondering if this is too old for sake.

Any thoughts?

Should be fine to use, man.

So my 2008 stuff should be good too then :wink:
