I recently saw online a fast video about putting an oak honeycomb in to the boil as opposed to putting it into secondary, it was put in at about 15 minutes to sanitize and do it’s thing. Has anyone tried this? any report-able results?
I’ve used these honeycombs before in secondary, but found I left it in for too long (about 6 weeks) I’m not sure what putting it in the boil would accomplish, but I am curious!
