No more diacetyl?

Just saw this article

talking about an enzyme created by a DuPont subsidiary that can prevent diacetyl. Interesting.

Hmm. The day I start using products from DuPont Chemical Corporation in the brewing of my beer is the day I may have to stop brewing beer. It just feels wrong.

I’m not so sure this is new. Years ago a company from Japan was producing something similar. A competitor used to sell it but it’s no longer available.

I will try finding it but it seems to be unavailable.
