No boil extract question

Do I really need to boil a wort that is all extract? No hops in it.

Yes. Here’s why:

Is this something like the pre-hopped Coopers tins? If it is you would not boil. Bring the water to a boil. Take it off the heat. Stir in the extract.

Kind of. I’m planning on doing a 2 1/2-3 gallon batch for gruit that will be devided into 5 or 6 smaller batches and each will get a herb or spice added to it to see what it tastes like, then maybe blend some or all together. Since there will be no hops and the extract was boiled when it was made I thought skipping a boil now wouldn’t really hurt anything.

Good article and if I were going to do a normal all-grain batch I would boil.
