Hey folks,
I just wanted to stop in and say hi. I’m really new to brewing, having only four (extract) beers, and three ciders under my belt. It’s been a real learning experience so far, and the information I’ve gotten out of this forum had been indispensable. So thanks for all the combined knowledge and willingness to share! Have a Happy New Year all!
Welcome, and congratulations on your excellent start!
Welcome! Lots of good people and info here.
Except for those idiots who skip secondary…

I don’t always skip the secondary. But when I do… I don’t regret it.
Secondary…Secondary???..Did you say SECONDARY???
What the Hell’s a “secondary”??? :?
Its what you rack the beer to after 7 days to create a sweet, clear, buttery-tasting bottle-grenade of a beer.
People who write the kit directions should be sentenced to a lifetime of consuming the bad beer they are responsible for creating.
AAAAAAAAANYWHO, welcome to the obsession OP! What you will REALLY find about this hobby is that there are a lot of ways to make great beer. Better than most of what you can find in the store, in fact!
