Well, been a year since I’ve had a “real” brew. Health steered me away and I’m not regretting the change. I have been consuming NA’s and quite surprised by them. But the ones I really miss is a wheat/Saison style. IPA’s aren’t too bad but some have the cat piss front and centered. I think I’ve said I don’t care for that before.
So, it’s time to snoop around and see where this leads me. I wonder if any one else has tried to brew these on here..

when I was in Germany last fall My wife had a NA heffe it was quite good
I fooled around brewing some NA beer but to be honest it is really hard to tell unless you test them
they were pretty low ABV anyway
I stopped doing it because the little my wife drank them it wasn’t worth it
I’ll need to look into some these.
Closest I’ve found so far is “best day brewing’s” Kolsch. Athletic IPA wasn’t very tasty, but now easy dust (from space dust) is quite good.
Thank you BrewCat,

I dabbled around AWHILE ago, before the big craze. They were difficult to brew and I admit I didn’t have much success. Things have improved now with more options in yeast and understanding the technique, so you may have better luck. I will say you have to be OVERLY meticulous with sanitizing as any maltose positive yeast that sneaks in, even by air, can quickly ruin an NA batch quickly.
Thanks Loopie.
How is the brewery doing? Some are closed/closing around here, namely the original, Hoops.

I don’t want to dissuade you. Just know that they’re difficult since they’re difficult to balance as there is no fermentation to dry the beer nor any alcohol to sweeten them up.
The brewery is doing well! There’s been a few indicators year after year in regards to which one make it, and sadly, which ones don’t. ‘Gimmicky’ breweries will struggle. Breweries who expanded too quickly and took too much debt will struggle; especially if they expanded outside of their ‘viewing’ area. Breweries who haven’t diversified their portfolio will struggle. Luckily we don’t hit any of those.
