So as I am picking up some bombers to share for my Saturday brewday I saw this beer and figured I’d give it a shot. Kind of was attracted to the hop monster on the tallboy can so…there’s that anyway.
Beer pours a deep golden color with a nice frothy head. Respectable amount of carbonation with a caramelly and slightly sweet aroma. Smooth bittering with a caramelly/malty backbone that really play well together. A mild spiciness lingers with the same bittering through the finish. All in all a respectable little beer that doesn’t really feel like it is 8.7%.
For $8 a four pack I’ll definitely be happy to drink this local selection.
