Light beer with extract

Inspired by another thread, but I didn’t want to hijack. I’m going to be making a double IPA pretty soon , and I want to partial mash to avoid it getting too dark. Here’s where I am right now. Please disregard the LME as I’m converting it to DME.

I left out my dry hop additions.

Add extract 5 mins to end of boil is what i heard everyone does…I brew AG and have trouble getting light SRM but that rattlesnake poison recipe does not seem like it should be light colored…10 srm is more copper then light

Do you want lighter than 10SRM?
If so, then maybe switch the munich to vienna, and maybe cut back on the crystal15.
Also, you will have a pretty good volume to boil with your mash, so you can add all the DME in the last 10 minutes. That’ll help.
I can see why it’s called rattlesnake poison. Looks like it will have quite a kick.

It’s a first run at a Hop Venom clone. Yeah, I’ll bump the munich and move on to Vienna. I’ll definitely be adding the extract as late as possible… 10 SRMs isn’t bad considering the product I’m trying to replicate, but I wouldn’t mind it being a little lighter.

Thanks guys!
