Lager yeast for WH Honey Ale

Ive brewed the White House Honey Ale kit numerous times and it has always turned out great. Ive started brewing mostly lager kits lately and it got me thinking about brewing this kit as a lager style. I use the extract kit to brew, so does anyone know of a reason why this would be a bad ides or not turn out good? Would a lager yeast give this style of beer bad off flavors? Does anyone have recommendations on a good lager yeast to use that would be good for this kit? Any help would be appreciated as id like to try this soon.

The W-34/70 dry lager yeast is great. You could give that a try. I’m assuming you have the ability to ferment around 50 F for several weeks, which is a requirement for lagers.

Yes, I have that ability. Im using my kegerator with temp controller on it as my fermentation chamber. I currently have two lagers fermenting in it right now and its holding 50 degrees perfectly.
I will give that yeast a try and see how it comes out.

W-34/70 is a real good lager yeast. Also very good is S-189, if you can find it.
