Update: gravity down to 1.021. I’ve put heat under it, so now temp is 82*F. Sure is taking its time. Hind site, yeast nutrient probable was needed. This doesn’t need to be ready until July 5.

Gravity is at 1.003…. This needs to be in service by 07/05…
I’ll let it go til Friday. Keg, put in my fridge u til Sunday, then into the serving vessel to carbonate until the day it’s needed.
Now I’ll go figure out the ABV.

I’m not so sure the Lutra Kviek was a good choice.

Interesting that you think the Kviek wasn’t a good choice as they’re usually pretty neutral. Why do you think it’s not a good choice?
It has an after taste I can’t describe just yet…

I’ll start an apple joose later this week, then pit 5 plus pounds of cherries (if I don’t eat them) and put on top of the yeast cake. I’ll use safale05. And combine the 2…

Is it just me or does it a take a few tries before the “reply” will post?
I think the last time I used cherry juice I just bought Knudsen bottled stuff. Kind of expensive but I would think pitting all those cherries would be a lot of work. That and many would disappear in the process ![]()
