With that grain bill, I don’t think that you will taste the honey. I would either get rid of that addition or, if you want to keep the beer at the same OG, substitute table sugar for it.
I thought of that. It seems very frivolous to spend money on honey for just a gravity boost
You can get better honey flavor if you add it at high krausen rather than to the boil. You run a bit of a risk of infection this way but I’ve done it a few times with no bad results.
I think that ounce of hops is going to be lost in a beer that big and malty.
Does it need to be stirred in, or will it slowly dissolve into solution while sitting on the bottom?
