Hello how would one sanitize the pump for transfer wort from brew pot to fermenter. I know about recirculating boiling wort through the pump for a few minutes but I worried about cavitation because of the wort boiling __
Put the pump as low possible to keep a suction head to help prevent cavitation.
Seem to remember reading somewhere that restricting the outflow can reduce the risk of cavitation. The lines and pump will remain filled.

The obvious answer is to pump some sanitizer through first. Depending on your set up this may not be so easy. Pouring some into the tubing with a funnel before connecting it might work.
Also assuming you are using a immersion chiller, before chilling the boiling hot wort run a little through.

I simply recirculate and have never had a problem with cavitation due to boiling wort.

Don’t see why filling a 5 gallon bucket with starsan and water and then just pumping it out wouldn’t work.
