How long can a starter wait?

Here’s the scenario. I made a starter for last Saturday, but got sick, poured of the wort and restarted but still sick today, and its to cold out. So can I just leave it in the refridge and try this Saturday when it warms up outside, or should I just start all over. The starter would be a week old and in cold storage for 5 and 1/2 days by then.

You could use that yeast months down the road. After making a new starter with it.

If you use in in the next week or two, use it as it sits.
