I was making “the number 8” and naturally the Kraeusen foamed up and I needed to put in a hose in a jug of water so the bung wouldn’t clog. Well while i was at work the hose popped out from under water for maybe… 12 hours. Is my batch going to be ruined?
not likely. the co2 was still flowing out of the tube. not much chance anything bad would be able to makes it’s way into the fermentor.
did it resume bubbling shortly after putting it back in the water?
rig up something to keep the tube in the water next time.
