Hop back and large batches

I’m brewing a 10G batch of Dead Ringer next weekend that gives me a perfect excuse to inaugurate my HopRocket with.

I don’t think 3oz will be enough to filter 10G through; something tells me the extract will fall off pretty hard after the first few gallons. Has anyone here ever repacked their hop back halfway through? How did you do it? I was thinking that I could just raise the hop back high enough above my pump and chiller, shut off flow to the pump, kill the pump, let the hop back drain, and go from there (rinse, sanitize, repack, sanitize).

Thoughts?
