I’m getting ready to purchase some DME for use in starters, and I’d like to get something very light and very neutral tasting. Any suggestions? How about Breiss Organic Light?
That should be fine, whatever brand you get just get the lightest one they make.
I typically use Briess Golden Light, but I always decant my starters, so it really doesn’t make that much difference which type I use.
Before buying a quantity of DME, you can easily make starter wort with a bag and some grain, then a quick 15-minute boil, and save a bunch of money.
I use 1.5lbs for a 3/4g starter.
