Getting Root Beer Flavor Out?

I’m on the fourth gallon since I finished the root beer that was previously kegged… I still taste the root beer! What can I do to ensure that the next beer is not ruined? Im thinking I will be doing something a little more subtle then and IPA.

Any suggestions?

Replace all rubber and plastic parts.

The SS should not hold any flavor.

Yep, replace lines and o-rings. Clean everything.

Did you clean the lines?

I cleaned all of the lines, but the root beer had been in the keg and lines for at least a year, so maybe changing at least the fluid line wouldn’t be a bad idea.

I think most people here replace their lines annually (or some sort of schedule). So that’s not a bad idea.

I just run generic oxyclean through mine. Sometimes some BLC.
