Don’t know if it was early or just because I haven’t brew an extract brew in over 5 years but I forgot to mill my grains for the partial mash. Didn’t realize till it was time to pull the bag out. I still got good color and smell. It will be interesting to see how it comes out.
That happened to me on an all-grain. I ran the wet grains through a food processor and put them back in the mash. Turned out fine. (Ordered milled grains, got unmilled, it was my first all-grain brew. Called customer service, and they helped me figure out how to save it.)
A plastic zip lock and a rolling pin are your friends…May take a bit, but works.
