I’m brewing the American Wheat for my first brew and everything is going great. I noticed the instructions did not say I needed to do a secondary fermentation, would there be any benefit to doing this with the American Wheat?
Unless you plan on dry hopping or adding additional ingredients I would just leave it in primary for entire time, but if you want to transfer to a secondary just to gain the experience of racking to a secondary it shouldn’t hurt anything.
Thanks, maybe I’ll try it on my second batch. I’m watching my first like an expectant father. Can’t wait to try it!
Just a couple more questions. What should I expect for ABV with the American Wheat? And, how do I set my rank as an Apprentise Brewer, because I can see me carrying this hobby further?
Ranks are based on post count. Welcome to the forum.
I do this kit every once in a while. I get around 4.2-4.3% ABV. It’s a nice smooth brew and a crowd pleaser. I’m not terribly fond of wheat beers personally but this one turns out ok.
As you are new to brewing, you might want to pass on racking to the secondary with this beer until you feel comfortable with your sanitation and siphoning procedures. Plus, a little hefe cloudiness is very nice in a wheat, so its a great beer to go from directly from the primary to the bottling bucket.
Now for some preventative nagging - be sure to take hydrometer readings and be certain that the SG is stable for at least a few days before you bottle. Please don’t make that newbie error and cut corners on this vital step.
Good luck and have fun.

Thanks all for the input and advise! I’m thinking I’m liking this but the anticipation is the most difficult.
