so i usually have pellets to dry hop with. i ferment with v-vessels. when i dry hop the hops eventually settle to the bottom, and clog the opening to the removeable capsul on the bottom. i can clear it, but then i need to transfer to another vessel to prime and bottle. doesn’t seem like a very good way to ensure clear beer. any suggestions out there? will i get as much dry hopping flavor if i use hop bags?
I use hop bags for the boil and haven’t really noticed a difference and I know a bunch of people use bags for dry hopping to limit the mess. I’m sure you’ll be fine.
Try using sacks. I’m sure you can figure out a way to suspend a sack in your v vessel. You’ll want to tie it off at the top some how.
