Dogfish Head Red & White

First heard about this beer when I visited the brewery this fall and was something I was pretty excited to finally get to try. Fermented with Pinot Noir juice and aged in Pinot Noir barrels over oak staves sounded very interesting to me. Pinot Noir is my favorite type of red wine so that may sway my impressions but this actually worked out really well to my tastes. Nice flavor match with the subtle flavors of the Pinot Noir with the Witbier. I wouldn’t buy a whole case of it as I wouldn’t classify it as an every day drinker but a very nice change of pace that I would definitely pick up again in the future and hold onto to go with a nice steak. Typically I prefer a Cabernet or a Pinot Noir with red meat over beer but this is definitely a beer I could drink with a steak. If you enjoy Pinot Noir and Witbier, I would definitely recommend checking this one out.
