I’m in the process of building a RIMS system and am looking for input on how to lay everything out. I don’t have a brewstand and am not planning on building one. The current plan is to build a small stand to mount the pump, RIMS tube, and control panel. I could wheel the stand into position as needed for transfers.
I’m trying to plan the number of valves and their location. As I see it there are two possible ways to go.
The first is to have two hoses and leave them attached to the pump throughout the brew day and move the ends as needed. this would require valves on the outputs of the 3 vessels, and one on the output of the pump.
The second is to leave most of the hoses in place throughout the day and control the flow of liquid through a manifold and a series of valves.
Any thoughts, or suggestions?
