I have 2 jars of Nottingham yeast that I washed from a brew I did about a month ago. What other styles could I brew with this strain?
you can make just about any ale with nottingham. id recommend a english style ale, stout or porter
Just about anything. Its becoming my new clean ale yeast, replacing the often venerable us05, and here’s why.
- When fermented at 59, it’s clean, as in super crisp no English esters or any esters clean.
- It flocs like out inside of a few days like none other.
I’m still conducting “experiments” in my brewery, but thus far it’s a winner.
It great for american styles.
It’s my substitution for Wyeast 1056.
