Danstar Nottingham dry yeast question

I have 2 jars of Nottingham yeast that I washed from a brew I did about a month ago. What other styles could I brew with this strain?

you can make just about any ale with nottingham. id recommend a english style ale, stout or porter

Just about anything. Its becoming my new clean ale yeast, replacing the often venerable us05, and here’s why.

  1. When fermented at 59, it’s clean, as in super crisp no English esters or any esters clean.
  2. It flocs like out inside of a few days like none other.

I’m still conducting “experiments” in my brewery, but thus far it’s a winner.

It great for american styles.

It’s my substitution for Wyeast 1056.
