Creating a Mash Tun

i bought a 70 qt Coleman for 10-15 gallon batches i have a 1/2 inch ball valve so far that’s pretty much it so i cant get a common way of putting this together i basically want to know a solid way to move forward from here like i said i don’t have many of the supplies ive seen in numerous different articles because i want a few more opinions from people on this forum.

1st, please use the shift key and punctuations. It’s difficult to read and comprehend posting like this.

You have read different websites. Stating different things? There is an old saying “there is more than one way to skin a cat”. That is what we have here.

You have to decide what you have available at your local hardware store. Or what you want to order online.

You can always go the "cheap and easy way

. With the ball valve, you can either go with all stainless steel. Or use copper/brass. Both work. It’s up to you how you want to proceed.

Here is a 60qt Igloo cube that I converted. I am currently working on converting a 150qt Coleman extreme with a similar sutep. But, utilizing the existing drain hole.

I used ball valve too. Here’s the schematic I drew up for the rest of the parts.

Thanks. I’ve been working CAD for 12 years. I find it easier to draw it out to help with visualization.

I went with this list as a starting point for the 70 Qt I put together over the break. Can’t wait to break it in sometime this month.
