Cold steeping Dark malts for stout?

Hello how many of you guy’s cold steep your dark malts for brewing a stout. Has it paid off in terms of flavor an not being to acidic?

I don’t do it with my stouts but for black lagers like schwarzbier I cold steep sometimes and sometimes I just use dehusked carafa malt. You don’t get that acidity taste with cold steeping and not with carafa malt. If you don’t like that flavor try changing up a few of your dark malts for stuff like midnight wheat, Debittered chocolate malt.
