Anyone get there CO2 filled around Bozeman ,MT ???where do you go???
I’m no where near there but try to find a fire equipment supply nearby. Sometimes they are much cheaper than a CO2 dealer or welding supply. The one near me is.
I moved this to the draft system forum BTW. There is still a “shadow” in General though.
I agree, anywhere that can service fire extinguishers should be able to fill your CO2 tank. I get mine done at a fire protection store and they do my 10 lb tank for 20 bucks.
I cant help but wonder. All of us have had craft beer in draft and bottles that was memorable for how lousy it made us feel the next day.Even a couple beers. I had some draft from a popular brewery
nearby a few days ago and it had a bad hangover element. The beer was also a lousy recipe. No soul to it.
It might be possible that the impurities in CO2 are more than we think and it might be worth while
to have different CO2 analysed to see just how much Benzene and other chemicals are in there.
I dont know how hard that would be to do…maybe a good project for a chemical engineering major in school who likes to homebrew. I think it might be a bigger issue than people think.

I always attributed a headache from draft to be a dirty system or the amount of beer consumed. This article  I will ask about the difference between their CO2 and food grade next time though. It sure does have me wondering now.
I am glad I used priming sugar in my little keg. But i wonder if I use a little CO2 for dispensing ,shutting it
off between glasses of beer, one glass…if I would avoid most Benzene if it was in there…My keg will probably last one week.I know I have some sludge on the bottom so I will probably throw out the last half glass.
