Cleaning exterior of keg

So my new kegs are very quickly looking not so new. The exterior is getting badly streaked from starsan running down the outside after using it to check for leaks.

Anybody have a secret for “easily” removing these steaks?

Thanks Wahoo. I gave that a try and it worked reasonably well and was easy. You can still see the streaks though. Starsan must be pretty corrosive stuff.

Not really corrosive but acidic as lemon juice when it’s mixed per direction. pH has to be under 3.0 for it to be effective.

If I’m honest I’ve seldom noticed how the exterior of my kegs look. I rinse them off every refill but I’m more concerned with the inside.

There all kinds of stainless steel cleaners for sinks, appliances, etc. but they probably have chemicals I’d rather not have near my beer.

edit: I should probably confess that all my 9 kegs were purchased used or reconditioned.
