I was thinking of adding cascade at flameout to my next batch. Has anyone tried it? If so how did it turn out. Thanks
I just finished a coffee chocolate porter that may have been lightly hopped with cascade or another citrusy hop. The hops completely masked any flavor of coffee and chocolate that may have been there.
Since it is a brown ale the finishing hops should be subtle. Willamette in the kit would be one to achieve this. I would be afraid the citrus flavor of Cascade might detract from the flavor of the dark grains just as flars suggests.
Your beer if course so you can do anything you want.
