Hello Everyone,
I have a friend who is French Canadian (a born & bred Quebecer) for whom I’d like to brew a batch of beer. He’s not a “beer guy” per se, but has been in on my exploits since I began brewing a couple of years ago. Today I came across NB’s “Quebecois Quadruple Wheat Wine” product group, which I thought looked very interesting and got me thinking about Canadian beer styles.
Can anyone out there tell me if there is a specific style of beer that is considered to be uniquely Canadian? I’d like to avoid the standard Labatt/Molson/Moosehead crowd, and I’d also like to avoid anything with maple syrup.
