Made the clone out of the recipe magazine yesterday. It called for 72% Munich 20 but LHBS didn’t have any so I used Belgian Munich which was about 15L. Two questions: 1) is Belgian Munich more or less the same as Munich albeit minor differences? 2) Recipe calls for only Munich 20, Munich 10, and Carafa III for color with no Caramunich. I followed recipe, but seems a bit odd and I am wondering where the “deep plum and raisin flavors” are going to come from without it. I have drank this beer in Etal and loved it so hoping it comes out relatively close.
