Bottled - Carb question

Hi,

I bottled two separate batches this weekend. Both were pretty high in alcohol so I put a few grains of Safale 05 in each bottle before capping. I gave a friend a 6 pack with instructions to keep it at room temp for a few weeks before putting it in the refrigerator. He put them in immediately. My question: If the bottles are brought back to room temp, will the carb process continue or did the cold temps kill my yeast?

They should be ok.

Yeah, kind of like cold crashing. The fridge won’t kill yeast, they just go dormant.

Warming back up will make them active again.

You might want to smack your friend on the back of the head though.

Thank you.

A tap on the back of the head would be well deserved in this case.

A tap at a minimum…
