Barrel Aged Carbing Queries

Been aging 10 gallons of oud bruin for 6 months months in Pino barrel, now going to bottle half, and age half on cherries (Al la Kasteel Rouge-esk).

Q: DO I need to add Yeast (champagne?) and sugar to Bottling bucket? Volumes?

Q: Do I need to add Yeast to 2ndary with cherries?

I’d say you’ll get activity after just six months, but to be safe you might throw in a packet of ale yeast. I don’t think you’d need champagne yeast for carbing with sugar unless the beer is really high ABV. And I’ve never added yeast when putting a sour on cherries after a year. It’ll go without it.
